About Making It Out
Making It Out is a local charity based in Brighton and Hove that provides transitional support for individuals who are moving on from prison, homelessness, and addiction. We offer a safe and supportive environment where people can build relationships and engage in meaningful projects, such as carpentry, metal fabrication, CAD design, painting, and sculpture. Our organization operates as a productive design and manufacture business while also providing support services for those in need.
By involving our participants in the process of designing and creating artistic and innovative products, we equip them with the skills, motivation, and confidence to build positive and stable futures for themselves. We believe in the transformative power of art, design, and craft, and aim to foster collaboration, training, and employment opportunities within the local arts and design communities. Whether you're a prison leaver, someone in recovery, or a long-term unemployed individual, Making It Out is here to provide the support and guidance you need to successfully transition to a more positive and fulfilling life
