Malacvédő Alapítvány

Malacvédő Alapítvány is a Hungarian foundation dedicated to helping pigs that are in distress or no longer wanted. Its mission is to improve pigs’ welfare and encourage people to recognize them as intelligent individuals with distinct personalities and an equal place alongside other animals. The foundation operates a sanctuary where pigs available for adoption receive veterinary examinations, sterilization when needed, and socialization. It helps match each animal with a suitable lifelong home and shares information about pigs seeking adopters and those already placed.

People can support the foundation in several ways, including adopting a pig, providing temporary foster care, volunteering, donating supplies or money, and sponsoring an individual pig’s medical care and daily needs. Virtual adoption is also available. The foundation organizes open days at its sanctuary, giving visitors opportunities to learn about the animals and their care. It also accepts support through donation boxes, deposit-return contributions, and fundraising merchandise. For reports of injured, stray, or otherwise endangered pigs, the foundation provides contact details and assistance information.
