Mālama i nā Honu is a Hawaii-based nonprofit dedicated to protecting Hawaiian sea turtles through education, public awareness, and conservation, guided by the Spirit of Aloha. Established as a 501(c)(3) organization, it works primarily on Oahu’s North Shore, where volunteers known as Honu Guardians provide daily beach outreach. They help residents and visitors understand how to behave respectfully around basking turtles, reducing disturbance and supporting peaceful coexistence between people and wildlife.

The organization also offers education and outreach in schools and shares information about honu, conservation, and its work through resources such as its newsletter and gallery. Visitors can learn about sea turtles through its Honu experiences and educational materials, while supporters can contribute through donations, turtle adoptions, sponsorships, and merchandise. Mālama i nā Honu also shares basking data and collaborates with conservation partners, including NOAA Fisheries, which has supported its public outreach.
