About Malaysian Gas Association
The Malaysian Gas Association (MGA) is the leading advocate for the natural gas industry in Malaysia. Since its establishment in 1986, MGA has brought together key industry players, including global oil and gas companies such as PETRONAS, Shell, Esso, BP, and Caltex, to work towards a common vision. With a membership base of 130 corporate members, MGA plays a crucial role in promoting engagement and dialogue with stakeholders to develop a vibrant and sustainable gas industry, driving Malaysia's socio-economic growth.
MGA aims to position natural gas as a clean and efficient source of energy, driving demand and increasing industry participation. In its three-decade history, MGA has focused on advocacy, communication, and education to advance the sustainable growth of Malaysia's gas industry. MGA represents the Malaysian gas industry internationally as a charter member of the International Gas Union (IGU), which advocates for gas as part of a sustainable global energy system.
As an MGA member, companies involved in gas production, delivery, large-scale consumption, and support services benefit from ample opportunities to expand their business base and venture internationally. Overall, MGA is committed to promoting the growth and sustainability of Malaysia's natural gas sector and enhancing its position in the domestic, regional, and international gas markets
