About MALAYSIA PAVILION COP30
The Malaysia Pavilion at COP28, hosted by the United Arab Emirates from November 30 to December 12, 2023, serves as a vibrant platform for the country to showcase its climate initiatives and commitment to sustainable development. Organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment, and Climate Change (NRECC) in collaboration with the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC), the pavilion highlights Malaysia's ambitious goals, including achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and a 45% reduction in emissions intensity by 2030. The pavilion emphasizes the theme, "Going Beyond: Green Growth, Resilient Community, and Sustainable Planet," reflecting Malaysia's dedication to embracing a whole-of-nation approach towards climate action.
Led by Prime Minister YAB Dato' Seri Anwar Bin Ibrahim, the platform will feature a wide range of speakers from diverse sectors—government, academia, and the private sector—fostering global dialogue on pressing sustainability issues. Through this initiative, Malaysia aims to attract international cooperation and demonstrate its leadership in environmental stewardship on a global stage.
