About Malta Football Players Association
The Malta Football Players Association (MFPA) is dedicated to protecting the rights and promoting the best interests of football players in Malta. Their website serves as a hub for news and information related to the association and its members.
One of their key achievements is the revision of the training compensation rules, which ensures that clubs receive compensation when a player they helped develop signs their first professional contract. This change has been a result of the MFPA's negotiations with the Malta Football Association (MFA) and club officials.
The MFPA also emphasizes their commitment to the well-being and future of football players through their Life After Football campaign. They have partnered with reputable academic and learning institutions to offer a range of accredited educational courses for players, from foundation level to master's degrees.
Additionally, the MFPA collaborates with Assikura Insurance Brokers to provide players with expert advice and assistance on insurance matters, specifically health and personal accident insurance.
Overall, the MFPA is dedicated to ensuring the success, protection, and well-being of football players in Malta, both on and off the field.
