About MAM Modellbau
MAM Modellbau, run by Frank Ebert in Lahnau, Germany, specializes in live-steam model locomotives and rolling stock in 5-inch and 7¼-inch gauges. Its models are handmade from metal in the company’s own workshop, with an emphasis on functional detail and museum-quality craftsmanship. The range includes steam locomotives such as the O&K tender locomotive, Class 03, Class 54 and Class 80, alongside wagons including a G 10 covered goods wagon and American-style caboose, boxcar, reefer and tank car models.
Products vary in availability: some are offered for immediate purchase, while others are available by pre-order or on request. MAM Modellbau also presents products from its MAM USA line and distributes Accucraft and Maxitrak models. Customers can browse the catalogue and submit an order inquiry, with personal advice available by phone, email or WhatsApp.
The business serves enthusiasts seeking detailed, rideable model railway equipment, with metal fittings, pipes and valves highlighted as part of its hands-on approach to construction
