MAMA Academy

MAMA Academy is a UK charity focused on helping parents and maternity professionals reduce baby loss and support safer pregnancies. Its mission is to help babies arrive safely by providing accessible, trusted information and practical resources for pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. The charity’s guidance covers pregnancy care, symptoms that warrant contacting a midwife, babies’ movements, health and nutrition, pregnancy conditions, screening, appointments, birth planning and newborn care. It also offers information for parents experiencing baby loss, including bereavement support, physical recovery and guidance on planning a subsequent pregnancy.

MAMA Academy serves professionals as well as families, with midwifery resources, clinical guidance, training and e-learning, and materials on culturally aware, inclusive and neurodivergent-informed care. Its resources include Pregnancy Passports, Rainbow and Memory Wallets, homebirth checklists and ambulance call cards. The organisation also shares a podcast, maternity service directories and links to local support, including mental health, breastfeeding and bereavement services.
