Mama Bear Care

Mama Bear Care, also known as Verity’s Village, is a nonprofit organization that supports mothers and families after a life-limiting prenatal diagnosis. Inspired by founder Beverly’s experience with her daughter Verity, the organization aims to help mothers move from heartache toward hope and feel equipped to advocate for their babies with fierce love and tender care. Its support is available from diagnosis through delivery and beyond.

Mama Bear Care connects mothers with a supportive community, personalized guidance, and resources tailored to their journey. Its programs include welcome packages, a series of Hope Boxes, journals, keepsakes, and memory-making items for families after a baby is born or passes away. The organization also offers individualized assistance from a Mama Bear Care Coordinator, counseling services, and opportunities for in-person support. For families seeking additional respite, its services include a retreat with accessible facilities and medical care. Through donations and community participation, Mama Bear Care works to extend these programs and connect more mothers with compassionate support.
