About Mama Help

Mama Help is a Portuguese association and support centre dedicated to helping people affected by breast cancer. Based in Porto, it offers information and practical support from the time of diagnosis through the different stages of the illness, including when cancer returns or becomes advanced. Its services are open to everyone and bring together a range of complementary care and wellbeing resources.

Available services include oncology and pelvic physiotherapy, physical exercise, psychology, nutrition, acupuncture, clinical hypnosis, naturopathy, osteopathy, Qigong and Reiki, as well as legal advice and access to an imaging centre. Consultations and other services require advance booking. Mama Help also provides informational and question-and-answer sessions, workshops, guides, events and resources on metastatic and advanced cancer. Its website shares news, personal testimonials and updates through a newsletter, and visitors can learn about membership and ways to support the association. By combining information, professional services and community support, Mama Help aims to help people navigate the physical and emotional challenges of breast cancer at every stage.
