MAMBA Outdoor is developing a new generation of climbing aids for ski touring, splitboarding and cross-country skiing. Inspired by the directional scales of a mamba snake, the brand is rethinking how equipment grips and glides across snow. Its concept uses engineered scales designed to move efficiently forward while resisting backward slip, offering an alternative to traditional climbing skins. The technology is currently in prototype, and MAMBA describes its approach as engineered rather than based on farmed and sheared materials.

MAMBA is inviting athletes, guides and other passionate mountain users to join a limited early-access testing program planned for Winter 2026. It is also seeking investors and partners to support development, testing, production and sales. MAMBA Outdoor is among the winners of the Andorra Scale Up Program.
