About Mamulbak
Mamulbak is a majority Indigenous-owned and operated cultural tourism and wellbeing organisation based in Nauiyu, on the banks of the Daly River in the Northern Territory. Founded in 2022 by John Bonson and Ingrid Schreiner, it shares the cultural heritage of the region through experiences guided by local voices and grounded in Kamu and Kin-affiliated culture. The name means “Dreaming” in John’s ancestral Kamu language, and the organisation’s work reflects a deep connection to Country, community and the Dingo, John’s totem.
Mamulbak offers guided cultural day tours, school and corporate immersions, cultural inductions, bush tucker walks, on-Country storytelling, and tag-along 4WD tours. Visitors can also explore its Dingo Learning Centre and learn about the animal’s cultural significance and John’s Wani Woeng Dreaming story. For local communities, Mamulbak provides flexible, co-designed social and emotional wellbeing programmes, including positive choices, men’s and women’s groups, and employment pathways. The organisation is Supply Nation registered and welcomes enquiries about tailored group programmes and cultural awareness training.
