About MAMUT HIKING
Mamut Hiking is a Barcelona-based outdoor community created from a love of nature and a desire to bring people together. Founded by Julia, Sergi and a friend after the closure of the Mamut Museum in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, the group has grown into a welcoming community for hikers of diverse backgrounds and languages. Each weekend, Mamut Hiking organizes different hikes across Catalonia, Aragon and the Andorran Pyrenees, encouraging participants to explore the outdoors and connect with one another.
The organizers aim to make everyone feel comfortable and value the diversity that enriches the group. Over six years, Mamut has led more than 450 hikes and welcomed close to 15,000 hikers, with many participants forming lasting friendships. Individuals can browse and book hikes through the Meetup app.
Mamut Hiking also organizes mountain trips for companies, drawing on its experience arranging group outings in Catalonia. The brand invites newcomers to join its hiking community and discover the region’s landscapes together
