MAN a MILE run

Man-A-Mile is a Niagara-area relay race that brings teams together for a scenic run from Fort George in Niagara-on-the-Lake to Oakes Park in Niagara Falls. Rooted in a long-standing local tradition, the event offers runners and supporters a shared way to take part in a community sporting occasion.

Teams cover the route one mile at a time. Each runner or jogger carries the baton to the next exchange point, where a teammate takes over. Support vehicles collect participants after their legs and help teams follow the course. A staggered start is used so teams with different paces can arrive near one another. At Oakes Park, the final runner completes two laps around the track before crossing the finish line with their team cheering them on. Refreshments and a short awards ceremony follow.
