About Mango Fund
Mango Fund is an impact investment fund dedicated to supporting the economic development of East Africa by promoting the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) that utilize technology for in-country value addition. In many emerging economies, SMEs face a significant financing gap, as they are too large to access microfinance institutions but too small to qualify for traditional bank loans or private equity investments. Mango Fund aims to fill this missing middle by offering mid-size loans and equity opportunities to growth-oriented entrepreneurs in a flexible manner.
By providing financial and consulting services, Mango Fund helps local entrepreneurs overcome barriers to growth and thrive. Established in 2011, Mango Fund currently operates two offices in the United States and Uganda. Their mission is to build a strong private sector that fosters economic growth, generates skilled employment, and contributes to the overall development of the region
