Manito Art League is an arts organization based in Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin, dedicated to promoting art and supporting creative community in the Northwoods. Founded more than six decades ago, the league brings together local and seasonal artists and welcomes people of all experience levels who want to make art and connect with others.

Its activities include an annual art show, monthly membership meetings, workshops, and a scholarship program for aspiring artists. The league also supports the Northwoods Outdoor Artists, a plein air group that meets on Thursday mornings from June through August. Participants gather at different outdoor locations to draw, paint, or photograph the region’s landscapes. These sessions are free and open to the public, making them accessible to artists at all levels.

The league’s meetings and workshops generally run from May through October, and members and visitors are welcome at its art activities throughout the year. Through exhibitions, learning opportunities, scholarships, and outdoor group sessions, Manito Art League encourages artistic practice and celebrates the natural beauty of its Northwoods community.
