Manly Masters Swimming Club is an active member of Masters Swimming NSW, welcoming adults who want to swim for fitness, friendship and fun. Its members include both social and competitive swimmers, with opportunities to enjoy pool and ocean swimming and to take part in competition. The club caters to a range of abilities, and regular sessions focus on improving swimming technique and fitness.
Pool training takes place on Sundays from 8 to 9 a.m. at Manly Aquatic Centre. From October to April, swimmers meet at the outdoor 25-metre pool; from May to September, sessions move to the indoor 25-metre pool. The club also meets on Saturday mornings outside Manly Surf Club for a popular ocean swim from Manly to Shelly Beach and back, passing through Cabbage Tree Bay. Participants are expected to assess their own surf conditions and ability, as the club does not provide water safety for ocean swims.
