Mäntyniemikoti

Mäntyniemikoti is a residential care service maintained by Mäntyniemi-yhdistys ry, located in Villähde, Lahti, Finland. It supports adults aged 18 and over with intellectual disabilities or acquired disabilities, offering short- or long-term communal living and round-the-clock supported accommodation. Its trained staff provide individualized assistance, guidance and care, with a focus on supporting residents’ abilities, independence, participation and right to make their own decisions.

Residents, their families and other partners work together to plan each person’s housing and support. Mäntyniemikoti also cooperates with Kaarisilta ry, which provides daytime activities and vocational education in collaboration with Salpaus Further Education. The home comprises three buildings and 26 apartments in a shared, welcoming setting overlooking Lake Kymijärvi.
