Its estimates draw primarily on official records of completed sales in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska, using prices actually paid rather than advertised prices. The site reports more than 313,000 recorded transactions spanning 15 years and 137 cities and municipalities.

Users can request a free estimate for an apartment, house, or plot by entering an address and answering a few questions about the property. Results can include an estimated value and range, a confidence rating, comparable nearby sales, and local price trends. Registered users can save a property and track its value over time. mapa.ba also offers an interactive map of recorded sales, city price indexes, market reports, comparisons between paid and asking prices, and guides for buyers, sellers, owners, and people living abroad. Its tools are designed to support pricing, purchase decisions, and research into local property markets, with listings used as supplementary information where completed sales are limited.
