About Mapa Social
Mapa Social is an online directory that brings together private and nonprofit institutions and their social services across mainland Portugal. It helps families, service users, and professionals in the social and healthcare sectors find relevant support and information about local providers. Visitors can browse by area of intervention and type of service, then narrow results by district, municipality, and parish. A search function also lets users look up institutions or services by keyword, with links to more detailed information about individual organizations and facilities.
The platform covers a broad range of needs, including childcare and youth support, services for older people, disability and mental health support, and continuing care. It also lists assistance for people experiencing homelessness, families and communities, people affected by HIV/AIDS, people with substance dependencies, and survivors of domestic violence.
