Map Digital GIS

Map Digital GIS is a specialist cartography service led by David Hantke, a GIS cartographer and map-digitising specialist with decades of experience working alongside professionals in the geological field. The business focuses on creating, customizing, and updating reliable digital mapping data for exploration and other GIS applications. Its services include vector map production from varied image sources, scanning and rasterizing hard-copy maps, georeferencing and projecting digital information, and adding coordinates, attributes, and linked databases. Map Digital GIS also modifies existing map data and can supply GIS packages in a client’s preferred software, as well as maps prepared for Google Earth Pro.

The company works with a range of geological mapping formats, including lithology, stratigraphy and interpretation maps, pit and mine maps, regional maps at multiple scales, and cross-sections for publication. It also digitises international maps using global projections. For presenting GIS information, Map Digital GIS creates multi-page PDF map books and offers themed map designs, including a geological map in a Gold Rush style.
