MAPECT (Taiwan Buyout and Private Equity Association) was established on September 29, 2009, in Taipei. It is a society dedicated to members involved in buyouts and private equity investments. The association's members include Taiwan Stock Exchange, China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation, major financial institutions, lawyers, accountants, investment bankers, fund managers, and securities dealers, as well as venture capital/private equity funds (VC/PE). The primary mission of MAPECT is to enhance Taiwan's buyout and private equity investment environment, serving as a bridge between the Taiwanese public, government, and international community.

Over the years, MAPECT has successfully advocated for the importance of buyouts and private equity investments in Taiwan, receiving positive responses from relevant authorities. Moving forward, the association aims to continue promoting industry investment and policy recommendations to further Taiwan's economic development and create a favorable environment for industry growth.
