Mappa Mundi Cartography is an independent cartographic design business, formally founded in 2017 after its founder created a map to support research into early medieval history. The studio produces customized maps and illustrations for a wide range of projects, with an emphasis on combining geographical relevance with visual appeal. Its work has supported academic and non-academic publishers worldwide, as well as exhibitions, board games and campsites.

Clients can request maps tailored to a book, thesis, article or other project. The process begins with a discussion of the intended coverage, places and landscape features, publication format, print dimensions, colour or greyscale, and preferred style. Mappa Mundi then provides a cost estimate; the site gives an average illustration price of EUR 125 to 225, excluding VAT. Clients can comment on initial results, and image quality and file type can be adjusted to publisher specifications. The cartographer also offers suggestions throughout the project and makes minor adjustments or corrections at no extra cost.
