MapTap

MapTap is an interactive geography game built around exploring the world on a 3D globe. Its daily puzzle invites players to find five locations, with historical stories offering context about the places they discover. Players can share scores and compare results, while accounts let them track statistics and streaks, appear on leaderboards, and sync settings and progress across devices.

Beyond the daily challenge, MapTap offers practice maps covering topics such as capitals, flags, rivers, and borders, with adjustable difficulty. Players can also compete head-to-head in Versus mode or create and join groups with friends. MapTap+ is a paid membership that adds features including closer zoom and map detail, access to past daily games, additional practice maps, and tools for creating groups.

The experience includes customizable controls, display and accessibility settings, multiple languages, and options for sharing results. MapTap credits data and imagery from sources including NASA, EOX, Natural Earth, HydroSHEDS, and OpenStreetMap contributors, and uses public-domain music from Musopen.
