About M.I.L
M. I. L, also known as Mapuche International Link, is an international organization dedicated to promoting the interests of indigenous peoples in Chile and Argentina.
Founded in Bristol, UK in 1996, M. I. L replaced the Comite Exterior Mapuche (CEM) which had been operating since 1978.
The organization aims to raise awareness about the struggles faced by indigenous communities and their fight for survival. They strive to inform the international community about indigenous cultures, particularly the rich heritage of the Mapuche people. M.
I. L facilitates connections between Mapuche and European organizations, fostering collaboration and understanding. Additionally, the organization works to establish links between indigenous schools in Chile and Argentina with schools in other countries, promoting cultural exchange and education.
M. I. L encourages people from Europe to engage with the Mapuche cause, supporting their pursuit of self-determination and recognition of their ancestral territories
