About Challenge du montcalm
The Marathon du Montcalm is a premier nature running event that transports participants into the heart of the majestic mountains, offering breathtaking landscapes and a variety of challenging courses. Scheduled for August 14-17, 2025, in Auzat, Ariège, this highly anticipated competition features multiple races to cater to all levels of trail runners. Athletes can choose from an array of trails, including the PICaPICA 109 km with 11,500 meters of elevation, PicAriège 70 km, Marathon du Montcalm 42 km, and several shorter distance runs like the Trail des Novis and the Trail by Night.
The event also aims to inspire younger participants with dedicated children's races and promotes community engagement through volunteer opportunities. With past editions showcasing impressive results and a vibrant atmosphere, the Marathon du Montcalm is not just a race—it's a celebration of nature, endurance, and camaraderie. Aspiring runners can look forward to registration opening in December 2024 for this thrilling outdoor adventure.
