Marathon 2 Marathon, also known as M2M, is a community race event held in Marathon, a small town in West Texas. Its next event is scheduled for October 24, 2026, and features a full marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K. The organizers welcome both runners seeking a Boston Marathon qualifying time and participants looking for a more relaxed race experience.
The marathon is a Boston qualifier, with a course described as gradually downhill and ending with a downhill finish. Runners can expect a dry, cool high-desert climate, spectacular scenery, and low traffic along the route. M2M brings almost 500 racers to town for a few hours, making it the biggest event Marathon puts on.
Local nonprofit organizations are beneficiaries of the event, connecting the race with the wider community. Participants can register to race or volunteer, while the event website also provides race information, results, photos, lodging details, awards, articles, and information about sponsors
