Marché OFF de Noël is a festive, community-led Christmas market held at Place Grimmeissen in Strasbourg. Since 2016, more than 30 local organizations focused on responsible shopping and the Social and Solidarity Economy have come together to offer an alternative way to celebrate the season. The market brings visitors, Strasbourg residents and local social enterprises together in a distinctive setting of shipping containers and geodesic domes.
Visitors can discover ethical, solidarity-minded, local and artisan products, while supporting local employment and more thoughtful ways of consuming. The market also offers opportunities to exchange, recycle, browse and find inspiration. Its program features themed workshops and activities, activist discussions, concerts and performances, creating a welcoming place to learn, connect and enjoy a convivial holiday outing.
Held annually from November 26 to December 24, the market is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Located near the Grand’Rue and the Petite France district, it is accessible on foot, by tram, by bicycle or through carpooling.
