Mar de Violetas is a social and community-focused initiative founded by Candela Guerrero, a social work graduate and specialist in community participation and ecofeminism. Its work brings together participation, empowerment, art and people, with a commitment to inclusive, diverse approaches and a gender perspective. The initiative supports individuals, groups, public administrations, policymakers and social movements seeking to create change in their communities.

Its services include social and community consulting and guidance, as well as the design of methodologies and development of social projects and participatory processes. Mar de Violetas helps clients review and shape their approaches using creative tools, collaborative questions and methods adapted to people and place. Its practice emphasizes individual, group and community perspectives, sustainability, and accompaniment throughout the process.

Mar de Violetas also offers social dance through “La Compañía,” a creative and research space connected to the Mar de Violetas Dance Center. This work combines artistic and social exploration, developing collaborative projects and performance proposals that invite reflection on current issues.
