Mardi Gras! Galveston is the organizer and official home of Texas’ largest Mardi Gras celebration, a long-running island event marking 116 years of festivities. Its 2027 celebration is scheduled for January 29 through February 9 and brings visitors together for parades, concerts, parties, and community activities. The program features more than 20 parades, with participating krewes including the Knights of Momus and Krewe of Gambrinus, as well as more than 20 performances by headliners, DJs, and local talent.

Guests can purchase general admission and balcony tickets, explore ticket and hotel or restaurant packages, and join events such as the Jolly Jester Jaunt 5K, golf cart parade, Jeep parades, and Fiesta Gras! The celebration also offers family events, contests, vendors, an Airstream rally, and opportunities to get involved, including building a krewe. Organizers highlight the spectacle of millions of beads, live entertainment, and island-style revelry, while providing schedules, visitor information, FAQs, and media resources to help attendees plan their experience
