Margent Farm is an organic hemp farm located in Cambridgeshire, England. Situated on 53 acres of land, the farm was revitalized in 2016 after years of neglect, with the guidance of organic expert Mike Radford, and is now fully certified organic. The farm is dedicated to sustainability and biodiversity, with wild grass and flower margins around the fields that provide a flourishing habitat for birds, insects, and other creatures.
Additionally, the farm practices the traditional art of hedge-laying and has planted fruit trees to further support the ecosystem. Margent Farm not only cultivates hemp but also creates innovative products with it. Their farmhouse and studio are constructed using hempcrete processed from the farm's own hemp fibers.
The buildings also feature Margent's corrugated hemp fiber rain sheets, which are made from thermal compressed fibers using farm waste resin. The farm is committed to renewable energy, powering the buildings with a sustainable biomass boiler, domestic wind turbine, and solar panels. Browse Margent Farm's shop to explore their range of hemp fiber and hemp oil products.
They also offer event tickets for various activities and invite you to engage with them through their contact options. Experience the beauty of organic hemp farming and sustainable living at Margent Farm
