Maricar Reyes

Maricar Reyes-Poon’s brand brings together personal storytelling, relationship-focused content, and lifestyle products. A Filipino medical doctor by degree, she pursued acting after earning her medical license and later became known for her candid, approachable perspective on life and relationships. With her husband, singer Richard Poon, she formed Relationship Matters PH: Your Online Ninong and Ninang, a social media platform that discusses real-life relationship issues. The couple also co-authored 10 Things We Fight About, published in 2017.

Maricar’s featured book, Overcoming Online Shame, shares her personal journey through a public crisis and the process of healing. Rather than revealing details about other people, it offers an honest, hopeful message for readers facing shame, grief, or difficult circumstances, with reflection questions included. The website offers hard-copy editions, including a limited initial run with a signature and dedication. Maricar also promotes Relationship Matters PH T-shirts featuring uplifting quotes and advice, available through her website and online marketplaces. Alongside these projects, she runs Maricar’s Chocolate Cakes, an online food business established with her husband.
