Marica Strazmester

Pro Aquatics Academy is a Chicago-based swimming and performance coaching company founded by Marica Strazmester, a two-time Olympic swimmer and holder of six national backstroke records. A graduate of the University of Sport and Physical Education, Strazmester brings academic training in sport and physical education alongside more than 20 years of swimming coaching experience. Her career has included coaching in Serbia and Spain and work in the United States as a physical education teacher and varsity swim coach at international schools. She is a USA Swimming Federation-certified coach and an Association of Swimming Coaches of America Level 3 coach.

The academy serves athletes, coaches, and parents through performance coaching, training camps, and online courses. Its swimming services include private lessons and options for adult swimmers. Drawing on elite competition, coaching science, and experience across cultures, Pro Aquatics Academy also supports athletic development, mental preparation, and athlete welfare. Its approach is intended to help participants build skills, confidence, and performance, from youth and developing swimmers to experienced athletes and sports organizations.
