MariesHus

MariesHus is a private childcare service in Sahl, founded on 1 August 2017 by Margit and Heidi, two former municipal childminders. They provide care in a homelike setting, with a focus on children’s wellbeing, security, warmth and individual needs. Their approach makes room for differences, recognizes each child and encourages children to take the lead in their play and activities. MariesHus sees play as learning and also works with learning plans, Marte Meo principles and ongoing assessments of each child’s wellbeing.

Margit and Heidi are supported by four regular substitute carers, all approved by Viborg Municipality and familiar to the children. MariesHus is approved by the municipality under the free-choice scheme, through which families receive a municipal subsidy and pay their own contribution. The municipality also provides supervision and, where relevant, professional guidance. Families can contact MariesHus for an informal conversation about a childcare place. Opening hours are generally Monday to Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
