Mariinsky

The Mariinsky Theatre is a major performing arts institution in Saint Petersburg, presenting opera, ballet, orchestral music, choral works and concerts. Its program brings together celebrated classical repertoire and contemporary productions, with works by composers including Tchaikovsky, Verdi, Mozart, Prokofiev, Rossini and Shchedrin. Performances feature the theatre’s opera and ballet companies, Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Choir, alongside guest artists and conductors.

Events take place across several venues, including the historic Mariinsky Theatre, Mariinsky-2, the Concert Hall and other named halls. The schedule ranges from full-length operas and ballets to symphonic programs, organ festivals and chamber concerts. Family and educational offerings include children’s musical performances and an immersive theatre lesson, while selected programs introduce young audiences to music and the performing arts.

Visitors can browse the performance calendar and purchase tickets through the official website. The theatre also offers gift cards and information for planning a visit, as well as dedicated sections for children, company members, theatre history, news and press resources.
