Marijt Schaab

Marijt Schaab Uitvaartbegeleiding is an independent funeral guidance service based in Haarlem, offering personal support to families arranging a farewell for a loved one. With years of experience, Marijt helps clients consider the many choices involved, from the location for the deceased’s farewell and announcements to condolences, the ceremony, and gathering afterward. She listens to each family’s wishes and ideas, explains the available options and costs, and provides a clear quotation so expenses are transparent.

The service also includes conversations about funeral wishes during life, giving people the opportunity to discuss ideas in advance and prepare an initial plan for a future farewell. For families who wish to say goodbye at home, Marijt offers experienced, attentive guidance, helping them shape the setting, rooms, and reception of guests to suit their preferences.

Marijt trained as a funeral guide at Meander and has further experience in funeral catering at home and grave planting. Introductory meetings can be arranged at home, with no obligation.
