Marine in the Community (MITC) is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on enhancing the lives of individuals in Crosby and Sefton through various community-driven initiatives. Currently, MITC is fundraising to establish a new Community Hub, aiming to create an inclusive space that supports individuals of all ages and abilities. With a fundraising goal of £50,000, they have already raised £30,000 to make this vision a reality.

MITC hosts a variety of programs including football coaching and camps for young athletes, tailored initiatives for girls, and school partnerships with local institutions such as Valewood and St. Luke’s Schools. They also offer community activities like a café, heritage walking groups, and gardening projects to foster community engagement. Additionally, MITC has provisions for older adults, including walking football for ages 45 and up. Through these efforts, Marine in the Community strives to build a vibrant and supportive environment, bringing people together for a common goal—enhancing local life and wellbeing.
