Але в нас збереглися наші маріупольські цінності та власний досвід відкритості, культурних рефлексій і боротьби за рівність. Тому Маріупольський Парк Пам’яті не є цвинтарем міста. Це парк, у якому ми зростаємо і розвиваємось разом з нашими політичними та мистецькими ідеями.

Established in spring 2022 following the devastating military invasion by Russian forces, which resulted in the tragic loss of countless lives, the park embodies the city's values of openness, cultural expression, and the ongoing fight for equality. Rather than a traditional cemetery, this memorial park is designed for growth and development, fostering political and artistic ideas.
Visitors can engage with various offerings, from the Resettlers' Library to curated films at the Pobeda Cinema, and explore narratives surrounding the region's industrial heritage. The park is supported by the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung in Ukraine and the Arts and Humanities Research Council, ensuring a robust platform for community resilience and dialogue. With contributions from a dedicated team of creatives and coordinators, Mariupol Memorial Park strives to be a dynamic space for remembrance, reflection, and cultural evolution
