Mark 1 Sport Fishing is a Lake Erie charter fishing service based in Port Clinton, Ohio, offering guided offshore trips for anglers and families. Trips operate daily from April through early December and target walleye, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, and steelhead. The company’s fleet includes 30-foot SportCraft boats equipped with fish-finding electronics and supplied with fishing gear, coolers, landing nets, first-aid supplies, and life jackets.
Its captains are U. S. Coast Guard licensed, commercially insured, and experienced on Lake Erie.
Mark 1 describes its charters as hands-on and educational, encouraging guests to take part in the fishing and develop new skills. Beyond time on the water, the business offers lodging at Bay’s Edge Townhouses, where guests can relax after a trip, and operates Bay’s Edge Bait and Tackle, stocked with equipment and live bait for beginner and experienced anglers. Fish cleaning and packaging are also available: catches are weighed, processed, and packaged according to guests’ instructions.
Mark 1 additionally offers charter trips for registered participants in the annual Fall Brawl tournament
