Mark Freebs is a Cape Town fine art photographer whose black-and-white series, Bodies of Earth and Sky, explores the connection between the human form and the landscape. The photographs feature women who collaborate with the artist, rather than professional models, in expansive natural settings. Through this work, Freebs aims to express a sense of belonging and human scale, rather than exposure.
The brand offers limited-edition fine art photography prints, including works such as Becoming Stardust, Before the Storm and Where the Mountains Rest. Each image is released in an edition of five, plus one artistβs proof, and is never reprinted once sold out. Prints are made by the artist using pigment inks on archival cotton paper, then mounted, signed and numbered by hand. Each purchase includes a signed certificate of authenticity and insured delivery; prints are supplied uncensored. Collectors can also join a mailing list for early access to new editions. After costs, 50% of each sale goes directly to the woman featured in the photograph.
