Marlène Willemsen is a Utrecht-based all-round stylist whose work brings together more than thirty years of creative and practical experience. After studying theatre design at HKU in Utrecht, she began her career in film and television, working in art departments and as a clothing stylist. She later held creative leadership roles, including chief designer for an events agency, where she designed costumes for acrobats and dancers, and chief decorator for theatre company De Theatercompagnie.

Today, Willemsen specialises in decorative restoration and painting, including the repair and design of wall and ceiling murals, as well as detailed wood and marble finishes. She also offers interior styling and colour advice, combining design expertise with a careful understanding of materials and spaces. Her services include upholstery, with a particular interest in restoring and re-covering vintage furniture. Through this mix of traditional craftsmanship and interior design, Marlène Willemsen helps clients enhance, restore and personalise their surroundings. Her practice reflects an ongoing commitment to developing her skills in both design and technique.
