Cégünk a rendszerváltozást követően, 1991-ben alakult családi vállalkozásként. Eredeti célkitűzésünk alapján kizárólag autós és motoros javítási kézikönyveket és szép, színes járműtechnika történeti albumokat szerettünk volna forgalmazni Európa minden országából. Egy igazi járműtechnikai szakkönyvesbolt szerettük volna lenni a járműfenntartó iparban dolgozó szakemberek és az autókat-motorokat kedvelők, javítók számára. Ma már sokak számára szinte hihetetlen, hogy milyen nehéz volt a kezdet. Ezekben az években még 2-3 évet kellett várni a vállalkozásoknak is Budapesten a telefonvonalra, a külföldről jövő árut minden esetben vámoltatni kellett, nem volt internet és még a külföldre történő banki utalás is folyamatos nehézséget jelentett. Mi is (mint annyi vállalkozás) sok nehézségbe ütköztünk az elmúlt több mint 20 év alatt. Eredeti elképzelésünket azonban a mai napig megtartottuk. Profilunkat 15 évvel ezelőtt bővítettük könyvkiadással és bízunk benne, hogy ma már egyetlen olyan szakműhely, szakmai közép- és felsőfokú oktatási intézmény sincs, ahova az általunk forgalmazott Autodata szakkiadványok és szoftverek, a kiadónk által publikált szakkönyvek ne jutottak volna el. Ma már szakmai berkekben a világ számos országában ismerik a Maróti Könyvkereskedést, hiszen európai szinten is különlegesnek számít szakkönyvesboltunk és kiadónk.

Maróti Könyvkereskedés is a well-established family business that was founded in 1991 following the political changes in Hungary. Our original goal was to exclusively distribute automotive and motorcycle repair manuals and beautiful, colorful historical albums of vehicle technology from every country in Europe. We aimed to be a true vehicle technology bookstore for professionals in the vehicle maintenance industry and enthusiasts who love cars and motorcycles.
In the early years, we faced numerous challenges such as limited telephone lines and customs procedures for imported goods, and the lack of internet and difficulties with international bank transfers. Despite these obstacles, we have stayed true to our original vision. We expanded our profile 15 years ago to include book publishing, and now our Autodata trade publications and software, as well as the technical books published by our company, have reached not only numerous professional workshops in Hungary but also many countries worldwide.
