MARRI | Skopje is a unique regional initiative aimed at promoting closer regional cooperation among its six Participants: Albania, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, and Kosovo*. With a focus on migration, asylum, border control, trafficking in human beings, visa regime, integration, and refugee return, MARRI strives to achieve international and European standards in these areas. The organization's main goal is to facilitate free and well-managed movement of individuals in the Western Balkans, contributing to the region's development and stability.

At the core of MARRI are its main bodies: the Forum of Ministers, the Committee, and the Regional Centre. Additionally, there are four sector networks dedicated to border management police, cooperation on readmission, prevention of trafficking in human beings, and heads of asylum departments. As the Executive Secretariat of MARRI, the Regional Center in Skopje serves as a focal point for consultations, dialogue, trainings, information exchange, capacity building, and other agreed activities.
