About Marshfield Fair
The Marshfield Agricultural and Horticultural Society is a community organization based at the Marshfield Fairgrounds in Marshfield, Massachusetts. It promotes agriculture, horticulture, education, and community participation through three main offerings: the Marshfield Fair, a year-round farmers’ market, and educational workshops. The annual fair features agricultural contests, 4-H and animal events, horticultural displays, arts and crafts, photography, horse and oxen pulls, rides, and daily entertainment. Exhibitors can find information and entry forms, while vendors, sponsors, and volunteers are invited to take part.
The farmers’ market brings together local vendors and offers seasonal programming, including music and events. Winter markets are held indoors at the grandstand on the third Saturday of each month from October through May, while summer markets run on Fridays from June through September. The Society also provides year-round workshops and hosts demonstrations and lectures at the fair, including activities for children. In addition, it offers facility rentals and supports community initiatives through scholarships, awards, and an agricultural grant.
