La Galleria MAG is a modern and contemporary art gallery based in Como and Kyoto. Founded in Como in 2009, it serves international collectors as well as audiences from the surrounding region, Milan and Lugano. Its program ranges from exhibitions by established artists to presentations of emerging talent, reflecting the expertise of its director, Salvatore Marsiglione, whose background is in art restoration.
MAG works across painting, including textured, abstract, figurative, Pop Art and Futurist works, as well as conceptual art, sculpture in marble, bronze, wood and metal, prints, unique drawings, photography, performance, poetry and literature. The gallery offers artworks through its shop and manages artist archives, including those of Luigi Russolo, Antonio Pedretti, Armando Fettolini and Marco Nereo Rotelli; its website also lists an archive for Max Papeschi. Alongside exhibitions, MAG has organized conferences, meetings and discussions, and plans, organizes and manages cultural events.
Its international outlook includes a partnership with Kyoto’s TOMO gallery and projects in Japan
