Marubashi Club

Aïkido Marubashi Club is an aikido organisation offering classes across Saint-Étienne, Villars, Roche-la-Molière, Rive-de-Gier and Saint-Genest-Lerpt in France. Its programme serves beginners and experienced practitioners, with sessions for children, teenagers, adults and seniors. The club presents aikido as a cooperative, progressive martial art that develops movement, coordination, balance, breathing, fitness and confidence, while teaching awareness and ways to respond to conflict without aiming to harm an opponent.

Classes include technical instruction, adapted games for young people, and practice of safe falling, control, immobilisation and projection techniques. The club also offers aikido sessions focused on sport, health and wellbeing, including senior-oriented practice, as well as introductory sessions and two trial classes for newcomers. Small-group lessons may be arranged by appointment, and the organisation shares training schedules, event information, articles, photos and videos about aikido and its practitioners.

Instruction is led by experienced teachers, including Luc Mathevet, a senior aikido practitioner and instructor with decades of practice and teaching experience.
