Mary Ann Miller is an author of mystery fiction and the creator of the Jhonni Laurent Mystery Series. An Illinois native, Miller moved with her husband, Mike, to Winter Garden, Florida, leaving snowy winters behind to begin a new chapter as a mystery writer. She has loved books since learning to read, and her work centers on the suspense and intrigue of small-town crime.
Bones Under the Ice is Miller’s debut novel and the first installment in the Jhonni Laurent series. The second book, Cracks Beneath the Surface, was released by Oceanview Press on October 15, 2024. In the story, the owner of a popular diner is found murdered on Easter Sunday, and Sheriff Jhonni Laurent must unravel a family’s lies and accusations. The mystery also features an Easter egg hunt, hidden money, an IRS audit, and a moonshine distillery.
