Maryland Plumbing Authority is a reference resource within the Maryland State Authority Network, providing organized information about the state’s plumbing regulations and professional requirements. Its coverage is designed for plumbing professionals, property owners, and researchers seeking to understand how the regulatory system is structured, who oversees it, and where state and local responsibilities differ. The site explains the role of the Maryland State Board of Plumbing, which operates under the Department of Labor and oversees statewide plumber licensing and professional conduct.

Topics include journeyman and master plumber licenses, contractor registration, exams, reciprocity, apprenticeships, continuing education, and insurance and bonding requirements. The resource also covers plumbing codes and standards, permits and inspections, residential and commercial work, renovations and new construction, and water, gas, drain, sewer, and septic systems. Additional references address backflow prevention, water heaters, sustainability, complaints, disciplinary procedures, violations, and penalties.

Rather than presenting plumbing services, the site maps regulatory information and links readers to topic pages, code records, listings, and sourced articles
