About Maryland State Fair
The Maryland State Fair is a local, self-sustaining nonprofit organization and Maryland’s largest celebration of agriculture. Held at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Lutherville-Timonium, the annual fair brings together families, visitors, exhibitors, and agricultural communities for a lively program of entertainment, competitions, and activities. Guests can enjoy carnival rides, fair food, concerts, free entertainment, shopping, horse racing, and exhibits featuring animals and agriculture. Special attractions include AGventure, rodeo, goat yoga, puppy yoga, barnyard activities, and family-friendly events.
The organization also hosts competitions spanning 4-H and FFA, equine events, livestock, farm and garden, and home arts. Beyond the main fair, its grounds accommodate year-round events, including markets, gun shows, and community gatherings, with facilities available for corporate parties. Visitors can find ticketing, admission and carnival pricing, discounts, directions, parking details, and accessibility information through the fair’s guest services. The Maryland State Fair supports young people through scholarships, having donated more than $500,000 in scholarships to Maryland youth since 2005.
