The Marymount Education Foundation (MEF) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to carrying forward Marymount California University’s legacy of expanding access to education. Rooted in the tradition and values of Catholic higher education and inspired by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, the Foundation supports students from diverse faiths and backgrounds as they pursue higher learning.

MEF awards college scholarships and provides grants and programs that promote educational access, achievement, degree attainment, and personal development. Its vision focuses on helping underserved students from the Los Angeles region access a private university education, supported by scholarships and mentorship, and grow into service-driven leaders. The Foundation also supports educational initiatives and fosters a community of learners.

Governed by a Board of Trustees with experience in education, law, ethics, and other fields, MEF connects its work to Marymount’s history of transforming lives through education. Through its programs, funding, and community engagement, the organization seeks to help students reach their educational goals and contribute to their communities.
